Gene Johnson has been on the staff since 1979. He coaches the kickers, receivers and defensive backs. He graduated from Concord, Ball St. and earned his master's at Indiana. Gene teaches Health and P/E at the high school. He has been the girls basketball coach for 18 years. Gene and his wife Kim have 3 children. Mike Hosinski begins his 19th year. He is the JV head coach and coaches the quarterbacks. He graduated from LaVille, Bethel, and earned his master's at Indiana. Mike teaches Social Studies at the high school. He and his wife Karen have 2 children. Scott Bovenkerk is at Jimtown after serving as Washington's head coach for 14 years. He will be a offensive assistant. Scott graduated from Fenger (Chicago), Northwestern (Iowa) and earned his master's at Western Michigan. He teaches Health at Washington and is the vice-president of the Indiana Football Coaches Assoc. He and his wife Judy have 3 children. Dave Pontius coaches the linemen and ends. He played football at Jimtown. He has coached in the program for 14 years. Dave and LuAnn have two sons: Caleb and Clint. Jerry Miller begins his 2nd year at Jimtown. He coaches the linemen and junior varsity. He graduated from Bremen and Bethel. He teaches at Jimtown Elementary.

Rick Yurko has been the Sports Medicine Director since 1984. He graduated from Hobart and Ball St. He teaches Biology and Earth Science at the high school. Rick and his wife Suzie have two children. Brent Kulp begins his 6th year as assistant JV and coaching the defense. He graduated from White Pigeon (Mi.) and Manchester. He teaches Health at the junior high and is the softball coach. Brent and his wife Corie have a newborn son. Mark Kerrn has been on the staff since 1987. He graduated from Mishawaka, and earned both degrees from Indiana. He has been head wrestling coach since 1987. He teaches US History at the high school. Mark and his wife Sharon have two children. Doug Toombs is the head coach for the junior high. He is in his second year after two years at Mishawaka. Doug graduated from Penn and Ball St. He teaches Industrial Arts at the junior high. Doug and his wife Karen have two children.
